Monday, July 28, 2025, the Technical Implementation Unit for Consultation Services, Disabilities, Discipline Enforcement, and Student Ethics (UPT LKDPDEM) together with the Faculty of Engineering Undip held a training entitled Training of Trainers for Character Education Facilitators (Pendikar) of the Faculty of Engineering Undip. This event was held on July 28-29, 2025, at the A.101 Hall of the Undip Civil Engineering Department.
This training was part of Undip’s preparations for implementing Pendikar. Pendikar itself is a program designed to build the character of Undip students so that they can become good, moral, and happy students.
“Pendikar is not about competing with other faculties to be more cohesive than other faculties. We want to shape the character of Undip students to be good… This year, we are focusing on the essence of how Undip students can become good students,” said the Head of UPT LKDPDEM Undip, Annastasia Ediati, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D.
Anna added that this year’s Pendikar is slightly different from previous years. Starting this year, Pendikar will be held every semester. After students undergo Pendikar for three days at the beginning of the semester, they will receive Pendikar again in the following semesters.
“This year’s Pendikar is different from last year. Last year, it only lasted three days. This year, the first three days are for the first semester. There will be another session for each semester. So we will hold it for up to eight semesters,” he said.
In this training, selected students and lecturers who will become facilitators will participate in training together with Pendikar facilitators from the previous year. These new facilitators will be guided on how to run the Pendikar program, including how to lead teams and deliver material related to Undip character education.
The Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Ir. Nita Aryanti, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM., welcomed this training. She hopes that with this training, Pendikar activities can run smoothly.
“We all hope that Pendikar activities for new students can be carried out smoothly and, of course, enjoyably,” she said.
