Launching Quality Assurance Calendar, Faculty of Engineering Ready to Maximize Achievements This Year

Thursday, July 24, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering held a socialization and coordination meeting regarding the implementation of the 2025 Faculty of Engineering Quality Assurance Calendar. The meeting, which was attended by the management of departments and study programs at the Faculty of Engineering, was held at the Engineering Hall, Prof. Ir. Eko Budihardjo, M.Sc. Building, 5th Floor.

The Quality Assurance Calendar is a product of the Faculty of Engineering’s Quality Assurance Team (TPM). It serves to explain the Faculty’s quality assurance activities taking place this year. Its purpose is to enable departments and study programs to prepare data periodically, facilitating the quality assurance process within the PPEPP cycle.

“We’ve made several revisions to ensure that quality assurance is carried out in a fun and enjoyable way. When I was the head of the study program, every time I carried out quality assurance, it felt like a burden. Hopefully, with these changes, the heads of study programs and the Quality Assurance Group (GPM) team will no longer be scrambling to find data during accreditation,” said the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Ir. Nita Aryanti, ST, MT, Ph.D., IPM.

Prof. Nita added that, in addition to quality assurance, each department and study program must also focus on Diponegoro University’s performance achievements. She hoped that this meeting would enable each department and study program to maximize their achievements over the past six months. “Hopefully, in the remaining six months, we can achieve Undip’s targets,” she said.

The Head of the Faculty of Engineering’s Student Leadership Council (TPM), Dr. Muhammad Luqman Hakim, ST, emphasized that there are several major agendas that need to be considered by department and study program administrators, such as Internal Quality Audits and Management Review Meetings. He believes that the quality assurance activities listed in the Calendar must be carried out properly by each department and study program administrator.

“We hope this educational process will improve student engagement. We’ll produce more outstanding students, and our graduates will also be better,” Luqman emphasized.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamari, ST, MT, IPU., ASEAN Eng., fully supports this Calendar. He hopes that in the future, department and study program administrators can be more optimal in preparing data when there is an agenda for quality assurance or filling in performance achievements. “We believe that our achievements have not been optimal, not because the data is not yet available. We believe that. But because we have not had time to fill it in. We ask for your assistance in why it has not been filled in and when will you fill it in, ladies and gentlemen,” said Prof. Jamari.
